2026-11-26 ~ 2027-05-09「Promethean Bloom and its Fruits:Miwa Yanagi & Ritsue Mishima」

Asia University Museum of Modern Art proudly presents the second chapter of the "Contemporary Master Series" — Promethean Bloom and its Fruits: Miwa Yanagi & Ritsue Mishima. This exhibition brings together two internationally influential Japanese female artists: Miwa Yanagi, who represented the Japan Pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale in 2009, and Ritsue Mishima, the first Japanese artist invited to hold a solo exhibition at the prestigious Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice in 2022.

Originating from the concept of fire, the exhibition expands from elements of humanity, culture, and the environment into contemporary metaphors of "bloom" and "fruit": "bloom" symbolizes the flourishing and advancement of human civilization, while "fruit" embodies the dual nature of civilization's expansion—encompassing both the positive "fruits" of technological progress and the negative "consequences" of environmental destruction. In collaboration with Tung Ho Steel and Spring Pool Glass, the exhibition leverages the transformative power of fire to awaken deeper reflection on sustainable coexistence with nature.
