As the Lunar New Year draws near, let us look back together at the sounds still lingering within the museum.

On November 7th last year, at the VIP preview, Ayiyanga brought a performance to the third-floor corridor of Asia University Museum of Modern Art — one that felt like walking through nature itself. Beginning with a single voice, the set moved seamlessly through three pieces — Reminder, Cherish, and Guiding Path — as members of the ensemble gradually joined in with rain sticks, singing bowls, and stones mimicking the sound of crickets, turning the space into a path slowly unfolding ahead.

It was a sonic journey that moved from 'reminder' to 'cherishing', and finally into 'guidance' and 'blessing' — and it opened the curtain on Tatsuo Miyajima: Human Life as Collective Experience Opening Performance — letting sound connect lives to one another, before the countdown of numbers even began.
