This permanent exhibition presents the full narrative of the Asia University Museum of Modern Art, tracing its journey from design conception to architectural completion, and invites visitors to explore the masterpiece designed by internationally renowned architect Tadao Ando.

The exhibition features 13 of Ando’s creative sketches, 3 design drawings, and 1 architectural model of the museum, providing an authentic insight into his design thinking and creative process. In addition, invited experts and scholars have contributed essays that examine the museum’s architecture from five perspectives—light, gardens, tactile experience, proportion, and structure—highlighting the distinctive aesthetic elements of Ando’s work.

To allow visitors to experience the beauty of the architecture more intuitively, the exhibition also includes specially commissioned photography that captures the interplay between the building and its environment, showcasing the delicate atmospheres of shifting light and spatial dialogue. By combining scholarly essays and visual imagery, visitors can easily immerse themselves in Tadao Ando’s aesthetic world and witness how architecture achieves a balance between rational structure and poetic ambiance.
