2022-07-30 ~ 2022-11-20 Earth Pulsing: Nurturing Life Exhibition

Technology not only enables humanity to harness natural resources but also allows us to rediscover the face, diversity, and elements of nature—and to become acutely aware of its creation and extinction crises. Such exploration reframes a fundamental premise: only by truly understanding nature can we reconstruct a deeper connection between humans and the natural world. When technology becomes our lens of observation, we gain new perspectives to reflect on the subtle and intricate relationship between humans and nature.

For a long time, technological development has primarily been regarded as a means to enhance resource efficiency, seldom directly linked with ecological preservation. This exhibition is the first in Taiwan’s art museum context to systematically present a dialogue among technology, ecology, and art, guiding viewers through three interconnected sections that explore different dimensions of nature:

1F | Sustaining Earth — Documentary Section

Reveals the current state of Earth’s resources and ecosystems through documentary footage and research reports.

2F | Embracing Ecology — Visual Section

Uses powerful biological imagery to bring viewers closer to the vibrant pulse of natural life.

3F | Gazing at Nature — Art Section

Features four artists—Paul Chiang, Huang Ming-Chang, Anderson Yang, and Yeh Tzu-Chi—each transforming the imagery of nature into unique artistic languages within individual exhibition spaces.

From video and research findings to painting and artistic creation, Earth Pulsing: Nurturing Life Exhibition integrates cutting-edge technology and aesthetics to immerse audiences in the living world of nature. The exhibition invites visitors to gaze upon the seas and lands, to listen to the breath and rhythm of all living beings, and to reflect on the shared responsibility of protecting the environment upon which our survival depends.
