Venue Rental
Asia University Museum of Modern Art offers a variety of venue rental services, including the Lobby, Ando Lecture Hall, and Outdoor Plaza. These spaces are ideal for lectures, performances, press conferences, forums, and other public or private events. The Museum also accepts applications for exclusive group visits and commercial filming upon request.
Application Procedure
Venue rental is open to all applicants, including:
External organizations and institutions
Internal university units
Affiliated institutions (e.g., Asia University Hospital)
Partner universities within the joint university system (e.g., China Medical University)
All applicants must complete the Venue Rental Application Form and submit it for review.
Once approved, payment should be made to the designated account or through the university’s cashier division.
Rental is confirmed upon submission of payment receipt and a copy of the approved application form.
Usage Guidelines (Summary)
During the rental period, the applicant is responsible for maintaining safety, order, and public decorum.
Activities must not interfere with Museum operations or visitor experiences, and no facility or exhibit may be damaged or moved without permission.
Food, drinks, gum, and betel nut are strictly prohibited inside indoor spaces such as the Ando Auditorium or exhibition halls. The use of open flames is also forbidden.
Commercial photography or filming requires prior approval. Content must portray the Museum positively and not harm its image or infringe on others’ rights.
After use, applicants must restore the venue to its original condition and remove all waste. Failure to comply will result in additional penalty charges.
The applicant assumes full responsibility for any personal injury or property damage that occurs during the rental period.

Additional Notes
Rental fees do not include parking. The Museum does not offer parking discounts.
The Museum reserves the right to document activities (photo/video) for archival or non-commercial purposes.
In cases of serious violations, the Museum may terminate the rental immediately, confiscate the security deposit, seek compensation for damages, and deny future rental applications for one year.
If events are canceled due to natural disasters, government regulations, or other force majeure events, the Museum will refund fees in full without interest.

Space Overview
Ando Lecture Hall
Located at the front of the Museum’s first-floor lobby, the Ando Lecture Hall embodies the architectural concept of the equilateral triangle — a symbol of precision and order. The space balances artistic beauty and functional design, where warm wooden wall panels contrast elegantly with the cool exposed concrete characteristic of Tadao Ando’s architecture, creating a serene yet inviting atmosphere.
Equipped with excellent acoustics, the auditorium spans approximately 120 ping (around 396 sqm) and offers 106 seats, making it ideal for seminars, lectures, and chamber music performances or other small to mid-sized events.
Main Lobby (First Floor)
Upon entering the Museum, visitors are greeted by the triangular-themed lobby, a design language that extends from the entrance through the service counter, creating a strong visual coherence and a distinctly modern impression.
Constructed primarily with Tadao Ando’s signature fair-faced concrete, complemented by expansive glass curtain walls and staggered V-shaped structures, the lobby feels bright and spacious. Natural light filters through throughout the day, casting shifting shadows that infuse the space with quiet poetry and contemplative calm.
Museum Lawn
Stretching before the Museum, the expansive front lawn extends the architecture’s triangular geometry into the surrounding landscape — transforming the outdoor space into a geometric green oasis that harmonizes nature and design.
The triangular layout continues seamlessly from the entrance plaza, creating a stage-like forecourt that welcomes visitors with both openness and artistic rhythm.
This area also serves as a major outdoor art space, featuring notable sculptures such as Niki de Saint Phalle’s Nana on a Dolphin and YuyuYang’s Advent of the Phoenix, shaping an open-air aesthetic environment where tranquility meets creative vitality.
